The Challenge

Neptune Ltd, a branded luxury furniture manufacturer with over 20 years of industry experience, faced several challenges in modernising their IT infrastructure:

• The need to adopt cloud-based services and deliver modern banking services
• A requirement to upgrade their desktop estate of 300 computers to Windows 10
• The desire to enable Enterprise Mobility and Security (EM&S)
• Implementation of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Ensuring secure remote access and data protection across multiple sites and retail premises

The Solution

Altiatech, in partnership with Avanade, proposed a comprehensive solution to address Neptune's challenges across four key projects:

1. Cloud Operating Model

• Developed a product-centric cloud model focused on flexibility, agility, and portability
• Created a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) to bridge between cloud, on-premise solutions, tooling, and product teams
• Implemented self-service templates with built-in best practices, compliance, and security standards
  
  

2. Windows 10 Deployment

• Conducted a Windows 10 Readiness Assessment to analyse the existing desktop environment
• Developed a strategy for designing and deploying a standard Windows 10 image
• Implemented application remediation and virtualisation solutions
• Designed a dynamic desktop configuration approach
  
  

3. Enterprise Mobility and Security (EM&S) Implementation

• Deployed Azure Active Directory for identity management
• Implemented Azure Information Protection for data security
• Set up Microsoft Intune for mobile device management
• Configured Microsoft Cloud App Security and Advanced Threat Analytics
  
  

4. System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) Implementation

• Designed and implemented SCCM for centralised management of desktops, servers, and mobile devices
• Integrated SCCM with Intune for unified device management
• Implemented software deployment, update management, and compliance monitoring
