In the face of delivering an extremely versatile service across diverse communities, varied and complex challenges presented opportunities to enhance Endpoint Security Posture. Solving the weakest link in the security chain meant implementing a fully-featured EDR solution capable of protecting 15,000 endpoints.
Local councils are embracing the digital transformation age by enabling more online services. Ultimately, local authorities must protect systems and data with a new adaptation to Cyber Security.
The Council needed to impose on their current endpoint security posture to secure data and obtain an environment fit for future purposes.
To reduce operational challenges, and ensure future protection for adapted malware attacks; Altiatech and the University identified three key areas in the enterprise delivery systems:
SentinelOne’s ability to empower the Public Sector Organisation meant more capability and less complexity. The endless discussion around this ability to meet and overcome complex needs proves its built-for-purpose features. Local Government Organisations have experienced an abundance of adapted malware attacks in recent years.
As a result, protecting endpoints has become more challenging as new attacker techniques come to light. Data protection is paramount. It all begins with awareness of your network. SentinelOne was the only vendor to score 100% Visibility and consolidated the entire 3- day attack into less than a handful of alerts (as presented by 2020 MITRE ATT&CK and Evaluation).
SentinelOne Readiness is our offering designed around agent deployment and periodic health checks to help customers accelerate SentinelOne agent rollout planning, installation execution, policy fine-tuning, and to help handle in the short term any discovered infections.
Altiatech continued with periodic agent upgrade assistance, quarterly health checks and occasional training sessions. The performance increase was measured and documented. As a result, the organisation has futureproofed its infrastructure with SentinelOne. No issues have been flagged by the organisation with detection response, zero escalations since.
In addition, the solution possesses a rollback and remediation feature, data recovery from compromised IT assets achieved in less time. This feature possesses automation, which means the organisation can roll back malware attacks with a single click, time-saving success. After each project phase was completed, performance increases were measured and documented. This allowed the University to experience the benefits of the project incrementally and encouraged continued effort and investment in the larger goal.
Altiatech are aligned to Government Procurement Frameworks such as G-cloud and CCS. Our client base is predominantly Local Government and Public Sector, enabling a multi-year agreement with up to 68% discount on the RRP of the working solution. Altiatech and SentinelOne will continue to ensure the development and future adaptations of the organisations' technology roadmap.
On completion of the project, Altiatech delivered the following:
